Funter Island is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, in Plumper Harbour.  Sitting just inside the mouth of Kendrick Arm, Plumper Harbour is tucked up against Nootka Island. It is approximately 45 minutes by boat from the launch at Gold River. The location offers easy access to prime salmon, cod and halibut fishing locations, with the famous gateway to the 'outside', Friendly Cove, a 10 minute boat ride away.
